Annapurna Mulde Peak Trekking is an extended version of the usual Annapurna Panorama Trekking. This short trek offers a wonderful hiking experience and spectacular views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges from Mulde Peak (3637) and Poon Hill (3193). Trekking through the beautiful traditional settlements of Gurung and Magar ethnic groups, their terraced farmlands, and the opportunity to see the local people’s fascinating culture and customs are definitely the best part of the trip.
Annapurna Mulde Peak trek starts from Tirkhedhunga after two hours drive from Pokhara. The trail follows the usual Annapurna Panorama route passing through beautiful Magar villages to Ghorepani-Poon Hill from where we enjoy the tremendous view of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains including sunrise. From Ghorepani, we continue trekking east to Deurali and from there we leave the main trekking trail and head north-east into the alpine forest and summer grazing zone to the top of Mulde Peak (3637m). This off-the-beaten track is recently opened and very few trekkers visit the area. The trek offers truly spectacular views of mountains and both Kaligandaki and Annapurna Base Camp valleys. We trek through the traditional settlements of the Gurung and Magar people and their amazing terraced farmlands.
