Bhaktapur Tour
Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaun, is a day trip destination located approximately 17 kilometers east of Kathmandu city center. This city is a living piece of history, where people still inhabit its narrow streets and centuries-old red-brick houses adorned with intricate carvings. Both Hindu and Buddhist shrines can be found throughout the city. Bhaktapur was one of the three separate Malla kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley (along with Kathmandu and Patan). Additionally, it served as the capital city of the Malla Kings from the 15th to the 18th centuries. The primary attractions in Bhaktapur include Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairavanath Temple, Pottery Square, and Datrataya Square.
Panauti Tour
Panauti is a charming small Newari town located just outside the Kathmandu Valley. This ancient Newari town was once a small kingdom and was given as a dowry gift by the Bhaktapur King to his sister. Nestled between the Roshi and Pangamati Rivers, it is approximately 32 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu. A highlight of Panauti is the magnificent three-story Indreswor Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The town is a blend of Buddhist and Hindu religious monuments and is considered one of the region’s most significant medieval sites.
