The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour begins with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, ensuring minimal weather disruptions. The flight takes about an hour, offering breathtaking views of diverse landscapes and stunning mountain panoramas. Upon reaching Lukla, the helicopter refuels before resuming the journey towards Everest Base Camp.
As the helicopter soars toward Everest Base Camp, you’ll fly over magnificent Khumbu landmarks such as Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and more. Along the way, take in the sights of quaint villages, ancient monasteries, shimmering glaciers, and alpine forests. Approximately in 30 minutes, we reach Everest Base Camp. Depending on the tour itinerary, we either land here or proceed to Kalapatthar, where you’ll enjoy incredible close-up views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyu, and other towering peaks.
After spending around 20-25 minutes at Kalapatthar, we fly back towards Lukla, making a special stop at the famous Hotel Everest View for breakfast. Relish your breakfast surrounded by the awe-inspiring Himalayan Range. After breakfast, we return to Kathmandu and complete the exhilarating 4-hour Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour. - Always pay attention to the Captain throughout the flight. The helicopter Pilot will brief all the information you have to follow just before getting into the Helicopter.
- Please, always approach the Helicopter after the Captain has signaled to do so and never approach a Helicopter from behind.
- Your personal belongings are your own responsibility. If in case anything will be blown away, please never chase after it.
- Smoking will be strictly prohibited in the Helicopter.

Trip Itinerary
Our journey to Everest Base Camp starts from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Along the way, the helicopter stops at Lukla for refueling and we continue our journey towards the Everest base camp. We land at the base of the Kalapatar Peak close to the Everest base camp. We will have 15-20 minutes to enjoy the view of the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest, neighboring mountains, Khumbu Icefall and Glacier. We then return to the Everest View Hotel for breakfast and then return to Kathmandu.
