AmaDablam (6468m) is one of the most beautiful mountain peaks for permitted expeditions in Nepal. The pyramid-shaped mountain is bound to take anyone’s breath away with its panoramic views of the Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Island Peak (6189m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Nuptse (7861m), and many more peaks. The month-long expedition is technical and recommended for trekkers with previous climbing experience.
The journey starts from Kathmandu, where official formalities and documentation will be handled. Trekkers will then fly to Lukla, which will give them a breathtaking view of rhododendron forests and snowcapped mountains. From Lukla, trekkers trek to Namche Bazar alongside the DudhKoshi River. After a day’s rest for acclimatization, trekkers make their way to Debuche and then to Pheriche.
On the way, trekkers pass through beautiful villages and get to observe the Sherpa’s unique way of life. One such village is the Pangboche village, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Trekkers also get the opportunity to visit the Tengboche Monastery (3867m), which is a Tibetan-Buddhist monastery of the Sherpa people. It is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region.
After acclimatizing for a day at Pheriche (4300m), trekkers make their way to the AmaDablam Base Camp (4570m). The base camp is located at the foot of Mt. AmaDablam. There are three more camps before reaching the summit. The ascent from Camp 2 to Camp 3 is quite challenging due to the snow and ice, which may be loose in some places.
April-May (spring) and September-October (autumn) are considered to be the best season for this expedition. Trekkers will need expedition permit, a Government Official Liaison Officer, a TIMS card, and an entry permit for Sagarmatha National Park.
Blossom Expedition offers you the chance to be a part of this fantastic adventure where you will not only make unforgettable memories but also learn plenty of new things. We are continually finding new ways to provide you the best experience of the Himalayas. Our experienced team is always ready to help you with every step of your journey.
