On the border of Tibet and Nepal lies the fourth highest mountain in the world, Mt. Lhotse, at the height of 8516m. Enclosed by the breathtaking Mt. Everest and the South Col, Mt. The Lhotse Expedition captures all of its essences on one travel, making it an adventure you will never forget. The summit is itself the highlight of the expedition. The trek starts with an exhilarating mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla from where your travel on foot starts. Along the way, you will pass through ancient Sherpa settlements like Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, and Thyangboche. Here, you will be able to visit countless Gombas and stupas and experience their unique culture, traditions, and lifestyle. Throughout the trip, you will be able to feel the presence of the rich culture with many prayer flags that grace your path.
You are required to have a permit for Khumbu valley and Sagarmatha National Park entry along with your TIMS card (Trekkers Management Information System). Also, an Mt. Lhotse expedition permit with a royalty fee of 1800 USD per member is needed. The best time to visit is during the warmer season, which is autumn (September to December) and spring (March to May).
