I have trekked three times in Nepal, and each time I have used as my guide Ambar Tamang of Blossom Expeditions.
In 2001 I did the Jomson trek in the Annapurna region. In 2013 I did a two-week hike in the Everest region (Gokyo), and in 2014 I returned to the Everest region to do another two-week trek (Gokyo/Tengboche). Each trip was a great success, and I intend to return again in the near future.
I can’t speak highly enough of Ambar Tamang of Blossom Expeditions. He is professional, efficient, courteous, incredibly knowledgeable, and great company.
If you want a fun and totally hassle-free trip with a seriously expert guide, Ambar is your man. He’s probably lost count of the number of trips he’s taken in the mountains. He’s done literally thousands of kilometres up there, and there’s pretty much nothing he doesn’t know about them.
If you are considering trekking in Nepal I say stop considering, and just go. And then once you’re there make sure you team up with Ambar Tamang
You will have a great trip. Ambar is a great guy to spend time with in the mountains. (He has great English, and an even better laugh, just btw.)
