Here comes another newly discovered adventure, Saribung Trekking It is a challenging yet trendy peak climbing option full of extraordinary landscapes and small traditional ethnic villages. The off-beaten trails and passes will take you to a paradise-like place surpassing your imagination.
Saribung is situated on the isolated north side of Mustang, near Damodar Himal at a height of 6346 meters. This is the last frontier of Tibet. The rugged trails and several high points like Saribung Pass at 6020 meters will make the trek technically challenging. Besides this, the ancient culture and lifestyle of people in these mountains will give rich meaning to this journey.
The Saribung Trek route starts from Jomsom, followed by the Upper Mustang trail. Slowly, you move down to the Nar-Phu valley and then to Besisahar. The trekking route will follow Kagbeni, Chele, Dhakmar, and Lo-Mangthang. You will acclimatize at Lo-Mangthang and then further trek to Luri Cave Monastery and Ghuma Thanti. The trekking route will turn to Namta Khola if we follow the Upper Mustang Trekking route to Lo Manthang.
You will experience a barren wild area with no settlements. Thus, we will need to camp to Saribung and back by the time we reach Koto. You will have to spend a day for acclimatization in the base camp. After that, we move on to the high Camp and then approach to climb the Saribung peak. You will pass by ancient remote valleys and settlements with thriving cultures. For the route to return, you will pass through Koto and Dharapani to Besi Sahar. From Besi Sahar, you can take a ride back to Kathmandu.
Saribung peak climbing is considered technically easy. For safety purposes, ropes and jumar are used during the ascents. The splendid views of Tibetan mountains, including the Himlung, Peri, and many more, are beautiful from the low-scaled peak. And of course, the jaw-dropping views of the Annapurna Dhaulagiri ranges will work as an inspiration and motivation to continue the strenuous walks.
At Blossom Expeditions, we are present at your service to make your travel full of fun memories. We provide experienced travel guides and friendly porters to make your trip stress-free and memorable.
